1. Service Description

South London Trades (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates an online directory at southlondontrades.co.uk that connects homeowners in South London with local tradespeople. The directory includes business listings sourced from publicly available data and direct submissions from tradespeople. We provide both free and featured (paid) listing tiers.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the website, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use the website. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time, and continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of any changes.

3. Free and Featured Listings

We offer two listing tiers:

• Free listings: businesses are listed at no cost with a profile page, area page presence, and Google ratings displayed. Free listings include a nofollow website link and standard placement.
• Featured listings: a paid subscription at £29 per month providing priority placement, a featured badge, dofollow website link, years of experience display, full business description, and a direct call button on area pages.

We reserve the right to remove or modify any listing at our discretion, including for quality control purposes or violation of these terms.

4. User Responsibilities

When submitting information to the directory or using the website, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and truthful information about your business.
• Keep your listing details up to date.
• Not submit false, misleading, or defamatory content.
• Not use the website to distribute spam, malware, or any unlawful content.
• Not attempt to scrape, copy, or reproduce the directory data without permission.

5. Payment Terms

Featured listings are billed at £29 per month via Stripe. Payment is taken at the start of each billing cycle. You may cancel your featured listing subscription at any time with no penalties or long-term commitment. Upon cancellation, your listing will revert to the free tier at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the website, including design, text, graphics, logos, and code, is the property of South London Trades or its content suppliers and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content on this site without our prior written consent. Business data sourced from Google Maps remains subject to Google's terms of service.

7. Limitation of Liability

South London Trades is a directory service only. We do not employ, endorse, or guarantee any tradesperson listed on the site. Specifically:

• We are not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of any work carried out by tradespeople found through our directory.
• We are not liable for any disputes between homeowners and tradespeople.
• We do not guarantee the accuracy of business information, reviews, or ratings displayed on the site.
• We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the website or reliance on any information provided.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the website shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold South London Trades harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the website, your violation of these terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
